On June 1st, the Asia operation manager of EARTH RESOURCE MAPPING（ERM）, Mr. Tong Lim with some retinues visited SuperMap GIS Technologies, Inc. and attend the technical communication for ERMapper.
Nearly all the new and old ERMapper users and all the China agents attended the meeting. They have an entirely discussion about the characters and application field of ERMapper and Image Web Server (IWS). All the attendees believed that ERMapper and Image Web Server have broad markets and powerful competition ability.
Mr. Lim gave a fully introduction about the Version 7.0 which will release soon. ERMapper 7.0 adds some new patch functions for addressing the needs of data produce in patching. The more important thing is that ERMapper 7.0 and Image Web Server (IWS) 7.0 support the international compression standard JPEG2000 which has geographic coordinate.
Mr. Lim said the headquarters in Australia pays attention to Chinese market very much. They will increase the power on propagandize and supported in Chinese market and put Chinese market as the most important strategy. ERMapper will closely cooperate with SuperMap to provide the best image processing solution from ERMapper and Image Web Server (IWS) to Chinese users.
