The Third Session of Asia Agriculture Information Technology Conference was held at Beijing Friendship Hotel on Oct. 26 of 2002. Experts from Asian countries in the agriculture information technology field attend this meeting.
Geographic information technology is one of the most important agriculture information technologies. To develop the GIS application in agriculture information, Dr. Zhong Ershun is invited to make a thematic report "SuperMap Technology System & Agriculture Information System" at this meeting. He mainly introduces the development of agriculture geographic information system in China, and demonstrates the large scale fundamental geographic information system software SuperMap as well as its application in agriculture informationization.
