On 23th May, the Spatial Big Data Analysis Strategic Cooperation Ceremony between Hong Kong Polytechnic University and SuperMap was held at Hong Kong. Mr. Shi Wenzhong, Director of the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Ms. Du Qinge, Chief Growth Officer of the SuperMap Software Co,. Ltd. signed the agreement as representatives of both parties.
SuperMap and Hong Kong Polytechnic University will take advantage of strategic cooperation to jointly build laboratories to conduct in-depth cooperation in spatial big data analysis and to develop more opportunities in teaching, research, training, market services, etc. Also, the international elements of Hong Kong can inject new impetus into the international development of SuperMap, as well as the innovations of GIS.
From 22nd to 24th May, the 11th Intercambio of Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Technology Beijing, Hong Kong & Macao was hosted by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Hong Kong Institute of Engineering Surveyors with the theme of “Hand in Hand, Wisdom, Mapping, City, Future”. SuperMap participated in the Intercambio and communicated with the representatives of schools and enterprises in Hong Kong and Macao to conduct on-the-spot research on the demand for GIS technology and applications in Hong Kong and Macao.
Mr. Bai Yangjian, Senior Vice President of SuperMap Software Co,. Ltd. gave a report on “Promote Industrial Upgrading and Development with New GIS technology ”, which attracted the guests’ attentions about technical innovation of BIM+GIS and Big Data GIS+AI.
SuperMap and local partner Geosys Hong Kong Ltd. held an exhibition during the Intercambio. Many participants visited the SuperMap booth to know more about the latest developments and typical cases of SuperMap new generation 3D GIS and Big Data GIS and expressed great expectation on BIM+GIS and its applications in depth in planning, construction, and smart cities. SuperMap will continue to make efforts in developing GIS technologies and create greater value for users in Hong Kong and Macao, as well as the international users.
