SuperMap Showcased Smart City Solutions at Global Digital Economy Conference 2025 in Barcelona

Barcelona, Spain – March 4, 2025 – On March 4, the International Cooperation Forum of the Global Digital Economy Conference 2025 was held in Barcelona, Spain with the theme "Integration, Innovation, and Win-Win: Co-Creating a New Blueprint for China-EU Digital Economy."

The event was organized by the Global Digital Economy Conference Committee and hosted by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology. It aimed to foster deeper collaboration and innovation in the digital economy between China and Europe. SuperMap was invited to attend both the International Cooperation Forum and the "Beijing Night" corporate exchange event.

During the forum's panel discussion, Wang Haitao, Vice President of SuperMap and President of SuperMap International, joined industry leaders including Huang Li, Executive Vice President of iSoftStone Information Technology (Group) Co., Ltd., and Lluís Sala, Treasurer of the Catalonia Association of Executives and Entrepreneurs, to explore the topic of "Empowering Application Scenarios with Digital Technologies."

Wang Haitao shared SuperMap's extensive experience in smart city development, highlighting the company's technological advancements and successful case studies in cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.

He emphasized SuperMap's role in transforming urban governance from traditional management to innovative, data-driven models. "With the rapid growth of urban data, cities face new challenges in governance. SuperMap is actively collaborating with ecosystem partners to explore next-generation smart city solutions that better meet user needs," Wang stated.

Wang also attended the "Beijing Night" corporate exchange, engaging in in-depth discussions with senior executives from Chinese and European companies on the opportunities and challenges in the digital economy.

The year 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Spain and China, as well as the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the European Union and China. Against this historic backdrop, cooperation between China and Europe in trade, culture, and other fields continues to deepen, creating unprecedented opportunities for digital economic growth.
