From February 9 to 12, 2025, the fourth Saudi Electronics and Information Technology Exhibition (LEAP 2025), the largest tech event in the Middle East, took place at the Riyadh Exhibition Center in Saudi Arabia. Co-organised by Tahaluf with the Saudi Ministry for Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones (SAFCSP), the national strategic exhibition institution, LEAP is one of the most influential tech events in the region, often referred to as the “Digital Davos.” The event attracted over 170,000 attendees with a range of key tech sectors including artificial intelligence, smart cities, fintech, and health tech.
As one of the few GIS companies at the event, SuperMap participated in the exhibition together with China Mobile International. This marked SuperMap's first appearance at a Middle Eastern tech event.
SuperMap showcased its technological capabilities and solutions in fields such as land management and smart cities, as well as applications of Digital Twins, BIM+GIS technologies, which drew significant attention and sparked lively discussions among attendees.
During the exhibition, Ambassador Chang Hua, China's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, along with the Chinese Ministry of Commerce delegation, visited the SuperMap booth. They had a friendly exchange with SuperMap's Vice President and President of SuperMap International, Wang Haitao, to learn more about SuperMap's overseas business and innovations in GIS applications.

Representatives and professionals from tech companies in countries including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, and the UK also visited the booth. They engaged in discussions with Hu Chenpu, General Manager of the Platform Solutions Team at SuperMap's International Division, and Chen Cheng, Account Manager for the Africa and Middle East team, on the innovative applications of GIS technology in the Middle East and other regions.
LEAP 2025 plays a key role in advancing the digital transformation of Saudi Arabia's “Vision 2030.” In recent years, countries in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, have been actively promoting digital transformation and technological innovation, creating vast opportunities and space for the growth of tech companies.
Moving forward, SuperMap aims to deepen its engagement in the Middle Eastern market, contributing to the realization of Saudi Arabia's“Vision 2030" by promoting the widespread application and innovative development of GIS technology in the region.
