The 4th International Workshop on GIS Technology and Application is co-sponsored by the Chinese Society for Geodesy Photogrammetry and Cartography and International Federation of Surveyors. We initiated this workshop in 2018 with the expectation of expanding international cooperation and enhancing the capabilities of geospatial software talents on geographic information applications and management.
We sincerely welcome government officials of surveying and mapping and geographical information departments, industry experts and scholars, and enterprise technical directors from all over the world to join us.
In 2020, 193 participants from 44 countries joined us, and this workshop witnessed extensive and in-depth exchanges on the experience and new modes of GIS applications despite the transfer to be online due to the pandemic. This year, we are honored to invite you to the workshop. Experts of global GIS industries will be present and shed light on the GIS applications.

The 3-day workshop will focus on the topics of the pivotal technology and the development trend of GIS software worldwide, including the introduction to and explanation of 3D GIS, AI GIS, AR+GIS, Geo-blockchain, BIM+GIS integration, and the GIS applications in various fields like Smart City and government management, as well as the software operating courses. Participants who complete the assignment will get an e-certificate as well. It is worth mentioning that apart from this workshop, activities oriented towards students are also in the plan.
