From May 12th to 14th, the 3rd Japan Construction & Survey Productivity Improvement Expo (CSPI-EXPO) supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism was held at Makuhari Messe in the suburbs of Tokyo. SuperMap Japan participated and showed SuperMap 3D GIS platform technology and its application in the field of infrastructure maintenance which were highly praised during this expo. In areas such as the maintenance of subway facilities, meaningful technical and business exchanges took place directly at the venue, opening up new business opportunities.
The large-scale exhibition, which was postponed for one year due to the pandemic, encountered a serious situation of postponement of the emergency declaration this year(originally scheduled to be lifted on May 11 but extended to May 31). The exhibition is allowed to be held as scheduled under the condition that the number of people at the same time is no more 5000, and each booth is no more than 3 people. The total number of attendees on the first day and the second day exceeded 10,000, which fully demonstrates the concern for new technologies in these industries in Japan.
