SuperMap Participated in FIG Working Week 2019

SuperMap participated in FIG Working Week 2019 in Vietnam from 22 to 26 April. SuperMap shared the newest technological results and applications with over 1,500 participants from 80 countries.

At 9:00 am on April 23, the FIG Working Week opening ceremony was held at the Vietnam National Convention Center. The conference gathered people from around the world to conduct in-depth discussions on topic of smarter life such as spatial information, big data, surveying, BIM, and land management. During the conference, SuperMap booth attracted industry experts, scholars and business representatives from France, Ghana, Malaysia, Cambodia and other countries to exchange ideas.

Among these guests, Mr. Issa Omran Al-Kuwari, Head of Qatar Engineering Information Public Works Authority, Dr Vu Anh Tuan, Vice Director General of Vietnam National Space Center, Mr. Keaunkeo Chanthala, Deputy of Land Survey Division of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Laos, Mr. Trinh Anh Co,Vice President of Vietnam Association of Geodesy, Cartography, and Remote Sensing visited SuperMap booth to hear the introduction of SuperMap technologies and products and watched the demonstration of SuperMap applications in urban planning, construction project management and other fields. Also, Prof. Rudolf STAIGER, Incoming President, International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) showed warm welcome to SuperMap to join FIG as gold cooperate member and gave best wishes to SuperMap international business.

In the conference sub-forum "GIS Application", Mr. Li Qinci, the regional Technical Support Engineer of SuperMap International made a report named "An Introduction to Next Generation of 3D GIS" to show a major breakthrough in the new generation of 3D GIS technology and typical applications in related fields.

FIG Working Week is an exciting week-long conference that brings the international community of surveying and spatial professionals together to discuss key challenges of our time within the surveying profession with fellow peers. With the theme ”Geospatial information for a smarter life and environmental resilience” the conference will focus on tackling the climate changes by working towards a smarter life both through the development of smart cities and also in rural areas. Spatial information, big data, surveying, BIM, land administration and much more are essential factors in this development.
