SuperMap GIS Contest Came to A Successful End

On 3 December 2020, SuperMap GIS Contest has came to a successful end. The contest was opened this March to the college and university students in everywhere of the world who can use SuperMap technology to present innovative projects with unique GIS vision.

During the 9 months, the contest committee organized over 20 GIS Contest training webinars to help students better apply SuperMap GIS technologies and improve GIS skills in English, Turkish, Russian, French and Spanish. So in total, over 200 entries have been sent by university students from 63 countries.

On 20 November, the defence of the development category was held online, judges and tutors listened the contents about the entries and raised questions about them. Then, through the hard selection of all entries for four categories: Mapping, Development, Application Analysis and Paper, 38 final winners are announced on the official website on 3 December. The committee has set the prizes of First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize, and Challenge Prize to award and encourage students who completed GIS works with good results by applying SuperMap GIS.

The committee would like to show appreciations to all the contest participants, thanks your time and efforts for contributing this successful contest. And the best thing is that we are happy to see more and more students and universities are applying SuperMap GIS in their studies and works, and we are looking forward to seeing more applications and cases in the future. Wish to see you next year, and hope more GIS talents can join the contest.
