Beijing time, from 17:00 to 19:00 on September 15th, GIS International Forum (Russian) of the 2020 GIS Software Technology Conference ("GTC 2020) was successfully held online. The forum was hosted by Professor Alim Pulatov, Executive Secretary of Central Asia and South Caucasus consortium of Agricultural univetsties for Development (CASCADE). Also, Professor Alim Pulatov gave the first welcome speech to show welcome to all participants. Then, Mr. Zhong Ershu, Chairman of SuperMap Group, gave the opening speech to introduce GTC 2020 and SuperMap. Next, Professor Alexey Yarotov, Chairman of the Belarusian Geographical Society, Associate Professor, Candidate of Geographical Sciences and Mr. Omirzhan Taukebayev, Deputy General Director of the Cluster of Engineering and High Technology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University delivered speeches respectively, expressing sincere congratulations and affirmation for the forum.
In the following report session, the report from Dr. Song Guanfu, CEO of SuperMap - "Exploration of Distributed GIS and Geo-Blockchain Technologies", and Mr. Li Meng, Product Director of 3D R&D Center, SuperMap Research Institute - "New Features and Enhancements in SuperMap GIS 10i(2020)" were translated into Russian version to the audience through live stream. In addition, Mr. Bakhyt Sakhariyev, Director of the Center for Remote Sensing of the Earth, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Mr. Jahongir Talipov, Head of the International Cooperation Department and Projects, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Environmental Protection (Goskomekologiya) made report on “Prospects and Possibilities of Using the GIS Platform SuperMap in Various Fields of Science in Kazakhstan and Central Asia”and "Information Systems for Natural Resources in the Republic of Uzbekistan" respectively, according to the characteristics of the industry and work needs, also the relevance and possibility of SuperMap GIS technology and products are discussed.
