From 11th to 12th, Oct 2010, the SuperMap delegation, headed by Dr. Zhong Ershun, Board Chairman of SuperMap, visited two European Institutes after exhibiting at this year's INTERGEO - the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) of the University of Twente in the Netherlands and the Institute of Geography of Heidelberg University in Germany. Both of the two institutes are world famous in the geospatial sciences research and education.
During the visit to ITC, Dr. Zhong delivered a keynote lecture titled "Development of GIS Industry in China and Introduction to SuperMap" for the seminar that was chaired by Prof. (Em.) Dr. John Van. Genderen, and about 20 participants from ITC attended the seminar.
The visit to the Institute of Geography of Heidelberg University was warmly received by Prof. Dr. Alexander Zipf, the Director of the GIS Science Center, and his colleagues. Both sides introduced some basic information and expressed interest in future cooperation.
