Big data has become a major power for Chinese urbanization. How to use big data to advance city intelligent planning, making management more effective?
City Big Data forum in GIS Software Technology Conference will answer those questions from the perspectives of big data conception, big data architecture, big data project supply and application. The scholars, experts and city management leaders will share their opinion, ideas on those issues, providing guidance.
Report introduction: Massive amount of labeled GIS big data with and spatio-temporal information provides tools to understand the city. Using spatio-temporal digging allows integrating spatial features of geographic big data. Presenter: Liu Yu, Professor at RS & GIS Institute of Peking University, deputy director of smart city research center of Peking University. He is dedicated in GIS model and analysis methods. He also serves as the deputy editor of Computers, Environment and Urban Systems.
Introduction: Geographic big data expanded the earth observation data, especially in scale and resolution of RS data. In addition, it records the activities of human. These 2 dimensions provide new perspective for human - earth. Traditional data digging method focuses on mode while the new perspective brings by geographic big data makes us re-evaluate the human - earth relationship. The report raised the concept of geographic big data perspective theory, through multiple city application examples, the research method mode sensing to perspective transformation.
Presenter: Pei Tao, researcher at Institute Of Geographic Sciences And Natural Resources Research, CAS, deputy director key laboratory of resource and environment information system. Studied at China University of Geosciences between 1989 and 1998 and acquired PhD degree. Also he studied mathematics at Imperial College London and MIT.
Introduction: the report analyzes the challenges of city big data application, illustrating the framework of DIST big data solution, introducing support on data acquisition, data management, data analysis and visualization, application transforming. The report also shares work expectations on city application, city big data circle.
Presenter: Zhang Zhi, over 15 years’ experience in internet and IT service and has deep understanding in big scale information architecture and construction, mobile development and cloud computing. He also has unique understanding on application performance testing and optimization. Mr. Zhang served as software engineer, project manager, DB2 database expert at IBM. He is currently in charge of platform and big data products development, research & development and operation.
