With the advancement of One Road One Belt, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the core area of Silk Road, has its own border and resources advantages. In the future, Xinjiang will serve as the core of mid-Asia, providing powerful insurance for One Road One Belt strategy.
In the recent years, Xinjiang has gained rich results in basic mapping, geographic situation survey, digital city, smart city, etc. mapping and GIS results have become the thruster for the economic development in Xinjiang, the results have been widely applied in major projects in regional planning, anti-terror, comprehensive treatment for river, mine resource digging.
With this basis, Xinjiang also advanced the project implantations in basic mapping and national resource situation monitoring of ‘13th five-year plan’, dedicating applying mapping results into more industries, advancing the detailed and scientific management.
On 18th, July, GIS Technology Seminar 2017 will be held in Urumqi, which is hosted by Xinjiang association of Surveying Mapping and Geoinformation, Xinjiang software association, organized by SuperMap Group.
