To handle diversified spatial data, SuperMap iDesktopX 2023 integrates artificial intelligence, knowledge graph and other technologies, adds support for geographical knowledge graph, remote sensing image processing, data version management functions, and further enhances mapping, video mapping, data migration and other capabilities, while improving interaction experience.

Data management further upgraded to improve editing efficiency

When editing data in the database, you will encounter the problem that the same object cannot be edited at the same time, or that it cannot be undone after saving. SuperMap iDesktop adds new function that manages data versions. It supports you to create sub-versions based on the main version of spatial database. The data in the subversions can be submitted to the main versions, while updating to the latest data according to the main versions, thus realizing the editing in multiple versions. It can coordinate data conflicts between versions to improve data security; at the same time, it provides a historical time function that can query data information at a specified moment to facilitate data tracking and backtracking.

  • More intuitive expression of aggregation

SuperMap iDesktopX newly supports two aggregation visual expression methods: dynamic aggregation chart and regional aggregation chart to further explore and analyze the distribution characteristics of elements. A dynamic aggregation map dynamically aggregates all features within the aggregation radius into a single symbol, which is dynamically updated based on the scale and extent of the map. For example, to express the distribution of educational resources in a certain city, the aggregation quantity will be recalculated as the map is zoomed in order to express the distribution of resources within the specified aggregation radius at that scale. The regional aggregation chart expresses the aggregation effect of a certain element in the area based on the specified area field. For example, the characteristics of housing prices in the corresponding area can be expressed based on the county-level, street, and community fields.

SuperMap iDesktopX adds a new deformation map. Conventional maps accurately express real spatial and geographical relationships, while deformation maps achieve the purpose of highlighting the size and distribution of certain variables by distorting and deforming real geographical elements. On the basis of retaining topological relationships, the deformed map is not limited to the original area, and intuitively displays the economic and social differences between cities. It is often used to express the distribution of GDP, population density, birth rate, etc. of cities in a certain region.

In order to improve the aesthetics of the map, SuperMap iDesktopX optimizes the label thematic map and adds a layer hybrid display model. The label thematic map has a new polyline type in the traction lines, which makes the layout of the connecting lines between map elements and labels clearer and avoids the intersection of traction lines; a new label background shadow function is added to make the labels in the thematic maps appear more vivid; a new layer blending mode can be used to change the brightness and color of the layer through different overlay and blending methods to highlight the terrain shaded display effect.

Through spatialization, the pixel coordinates of the video can be converted into geographical spatial coordinates, which facilitates the overlay display of the video and GIS data to obtain the corresponding position of the target object in the video. SuperMap iDesktopX supports the real-time spatialization of the rotating video from surveillance cameras to meet the needs for rotating video spatialization in security and emergency response, and natural resources monitoring. At the same time, the spatialization accuracy can be improved through multiple fitting based on the preset camera parameters and camera orientation information. Drone videos support rapid spatialization based on camera parameters in subtitle files. The upgrade of video spatialization technology has reduced the requirements for obtaining video data and made video data sources more widely available.

The combination of video map and AI technology can help to perceive the target objects in the video and mine the geographical location information of the target objects. SuperMap Idesktop can analyze the video at the back end without showing the video screen to improve the video detecting efficiency. At the same time, by optimizing the DeepSort to ByteTrack and OC-Sort, the accuracy and performance of detecting can be improved. The newly added fire smoke and fight detection model can conduct real-time monitoring and early warning of abnormal fires in parks/forests and street fights, and obtain the location of the incident point in time so as to facilitate rapid emergency response and rescue. Besides, it also supports pushing videos with detection results for display in web applications.
