Introduction

NewBorn, a recycling platform developed based on SuperMap GIS that brings idle resources back to life, is an award-winning work of the SuperMap GIS Contest.

With the advancement of the Internet and the per capita consumption level, people are used to “chasing after the new” in consumption, and the product replacement cycle is relatively short. A large number of idle resources and waste materials generated in this process are gradually occupying people’s living spaces and affecting people’s life quality. Providing convenient and satisfactory resource processing services for the market has become the key to freeing people’s living space.

The team combined the powerful analysis functions of GIS to deeply explore the actual needs of users, managers, and recyclers, combined with WebGIS and mobile GIS, developed and designed a recycling platform that can bring idle resources back to life - NewBorn.

The platform is divided into the web terminal, mobile terminal, and WeChat applet: the web terminal is for management personnel of the recycling site; the mobile terminal has a user terminal and employee terminal; and the applet is for the public.
