Prizewinning Application 2013: Japan Forest Mobile App

The application “Forest GIS” in Android version, which is developed by SuperMap (Japan), wins the e-land specific theme award of Geospatial Information Authority of Japan in 2013.   

The product is mainly used to manage the forestry information and can run on mobile devices with Android system. It provides the following functions including GPS positioning, recording survey routes, displaying geographic background information and forestry information such as attributes and survey sites, surveying forestry geometries, attributes, and pictures information, and so on, which can greatly facilitate the field surveys for the forestry industry. 



  

A total of 14 projects in Japan win the e-land awards this year, in which there are 3 specific theme awards. “Forest GIS”is a successful case for applying O2O in GIS industry to be arranged in the first place.  

This award will open a bright future for promoting the product “Forest GIS”.
