Q: Whether the shp data field name is truncated when the dataset field name is too long in oracle datatsource of SuperMap iDesktop 8C? Why?
A: It will be truncated. Because the upper limit of dataset field name length is 32 characters in Oracle datasource. But the upper limit of field name in shp data is 10 characters. So if this field length is larger than 10 characters exported as shp data in Oracle, it will be truncated.
