Q: Why do the region objects from a cad file display as line objects in the SuperMap software even if thy display as region objects in AutoCAD?

A: There are two ways to convert cad data into SuperMap format data: 1. Import the CAD file as simple datasets, and the closed lines in the CAD file will be converted into line objects if they are not filled region objects. 2. Convert the cad dataset into simple GIS datasets. The data engine will convert closed lines into region objects no matter whether they are filled or not. Therefore, choose the way to convert the CAD file according to your data.
