Q: Why are the x/y coordinate values acquired through querying altitude values for 3D data generated from 2D DEM data totally different with the coordinates of the original 2D DEM data？

A: This error will occur if the DEM data is in longitude and latitude coordinate system. It is suggested that you transform the coordinate system of the DEM data into projected or planar coordinate system before you generate 3D scene for the DEM data.
