SuperMap GeoAI Technology Successfully Commercializes JHS Ground Assessment Prediction Model

Japan Home Shield Corporation (JHS), a leading residential ground investigation company, has successfully commercialized the JHS ground evaluation prediction model using SuperMap iServer GeoAI technology based on ground investigation and analysis data from millions of homes nationwide. This marks an important step toward construction DX(Digital Transformation)and has attracted significant attention.

From Spatial Big Data to GeoAI

The Ground Support Map, which uses spatial big data from ground survey and analysis, has been highly acclaimed and featured in many media including NHK since it started operation in 2018. We also provide OEM to Kokumin Kyosai co-op and CO-OP Kasai, and are positioning this system as an important system for disaster prevention and mitigation.

In Japan, where earthquakes are a major cause of damage to the ground, understanding the ground is the first step to building a safe home. The results of the study were as follows. Although it was difficult to improve prediction accuracy with general-purpose AI, we created a unique prediction model combining a large amount of ground analysis data and geographic information, and by introducing spatial analysis and GeoAI extension modules of SuperMap iServer, we were able to achieve the expected results. This effort is an example of progress from spatial big data to GeoAI, and a major step forward for construction DX.

Service for the general public: " Ground Support Map" (https://nlftp.mlit.go.jp/ksj/case_studies.html, an example of the use of National Land Information, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) is available.

Services for businesses: Based on the general public, we are developing Ground Support Maps and land information reports for businesses. We provide a service that enables professionals to obtain geotechnical information prior to construction or land acquisition.

Analysis and decision support using AI: In the past, services for businesses were able to acquire necessary information, but subsequent analysis and decision-making had to be done by the users themselves. This time, by using AI, analysis and judgment can be performed more efficiently.
