SuperMap New 3D GIS Technological Architecture

With the development of IT technologies and 2D & 3D integration GIS, 3D GIS has used more and more widely, however, 3D modeling technology has the disadvantages of high cost and long-time circle. With the merging of oblique photogrammetry technology and advanced oblique photogrammetry hardware equipment, automatic modeling software, the 3D GIS has been promoted to more applications.

In addition, the integration between BIM and GIS makes 3D GIS applications transforming from outdoor to indoor, making GIS more detailed management. The emerging technologies like oblique photogrammetry, BIM make traditional 3D GIS technology cannot fulfill the needs, meanwhile, emerging technologies like VR, 3D printing, webGl bring new opportunities for GIS technologies, advancing the development of 3D GIS theory and application as well as the development of SuperMap 3D GIS platform.

Since the raise of 2D & 3D integration technology, it has been widely used in 3D GIS platform development and projects. 2D & 3D integration realized the integration of data model, scene construction, spatial analysis and software form, advancing 3D GIS transforming from beautiful to practical.
