SuperMap participated as a Gold Sponsor in the 18th Southeast Asia Survey Congress (SEASC 2026), held recently in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, strengthening engagement with government agencies, academia, and industry partners across Southeast Asia.
Organized by the ASEAN Federation of Land Surveying and Geomatics (AFLAG), SEASC 2026 brought together surveying and mapping authorities, researchers, academics, and industry professionals from across the region under the theme "Smart Geospatial Solutions for Sustainable and Resilient Development in Southeast Asia." The event explored emerging applications of geospatial technologies in areas including land administration, environmental monitoring, and urban resilience.
Showcasing the Convergence of GIS and AI
At the exhibition, SuperMap showcased its latest developments in GeoAI, 3D GIS, digital twins, and the integration of GIS with IoT and other digital technologies.
Among the technologies that attracted strong interest were 3D GIS, SuperMap iPortal Dashboard, and GIS-IoT integration. SuperMap AgentX, the company's newly launched agent-native GIS platform, also drew significant attention from visitors.
By embedding AI capabilities into GIS workflows, AgentX demonstrates a new direction for geospatial software—evolving from traditional spatial data management and visualization toward intelligent spatial analysis and decision support.

Sharing Geospatial Technology Experience from Indonesia
SuperMap also contributed to the technical program with a presentation by Satria Tesa Vici Andi, an engineer from SuperMap Indonesia, titled "Applications of Geospatial Technologies in Land Administration and Spatial Planning."
The presentation shared practical experience from the Integrated Land Administration and Spatial Planning Project (ILASPP), a national-level project serving Indonesia's Geospatial Information Agency (BIG).
The project demonstrates how technologies including GeoAI, data governance, 3D GIS, and digital twins can support more efficient geospatial data processing and enhance spatial analysis and decision-making capabilities.
Connecting Government, Academia, and Industry
SEASC 2026 also provided opportunities for SuperMap to engage directly with stakeholders across the regional geospatial ecosystem.
YB Tuan Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh, Deputy Minister of Malaysia's Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, led a delegation to visit the SuperMap booth, with discussions focusing on the application of GIS in local government and municipal management.
Representatives from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and Geomatika also exchanged views with the SuperMap team on the use of SuperMap GIS in education, research, and geospatial talent development.

From Visualization to Intelligent Decision-Making
Discussions throughout the event highlighted several emerging priorities in Southeast Asia's geospatial market. 3D GIS, digital twins, GeoAI, and multi-technology integration are gaining increasing attention as organizations look beyond traditional mapping and visualization.
The focus is increasingly shifting toward using geospatial intelligence to extract greater value from spatial data, generate actionable insights, and support real-world decision-making.
These trends closely align with SuperMap's technology strategy and its continued development of intelligent, integrated geospatial platforms.
Deepening Collaboration Across Southeast Asia
SEASC 2026 provided SuperMap with an important platform to connect with government agencies, universities, research institutions, and industry partners across the region.
Through its participation, SuperMap strengthened its engagement in Malaysia and the broader Southeast Asian market while gaining deeper insights into regional technology needs and application priorities.
Looking ahead, SuperMap will continue to advance geospatial intelligence technologies and collaborate with regional partners to support digital transformation, smart city development, and sustainable growth across Southeast Asia.
