The Geographic Information Managers Visited Meituan Dianping Group

On 9th Apri, Mr. Xu Yanying, Executive Vice President of China Geographic Information Industry Association, Mr. Wang Zengning, Genenral secretary of China Geographic Information Industry Association, and other 40 managers of Geographic Information companies visited the headquarters of Meituan Dianping Group in Beijing, which is a leading E-commerce platform for life service. Mr. Song Guanfu, President of SuperMap Group, hosted the event.

At the exhibition hall, the representative from Mietuan introduced the history, structure, business and the ecology of Meituan, as well as the culture, social values and environmental policies, and also demonstrate Meituan big data products, like Brain System, O2O planet and the smart city network. All managers were impressed by the convenient ecological network built by Meituan for merchants, consumers and deliveries, which benefits from the concept of “better food and better life”. 

In the following meeting, Mr. Xi Ming, General Manager of Meituan Map Business Department introduced the development of Meituan in map application and shared the advantages of it. In communication session, mangers discussed the topics about the community intelligence management, urban intelligence planning and government-enterprise management. Each of them expressed wishes to cooperate with Meituan to benefit the society with advanced technologies in the future.

At the end of the event, Mr. Xu Yanying expressed appreciation for the developments and achievements of Meituan in improving the quality of people’s life and fostering the development of technology. Also he introduced the information and the requirements of the Ministry of Natural Resources on the work of the geographic information industry.
