From 30th March to 10th April, 2009, the two-week 3rd EABRN-UNESCO Training Course on 'Remote Sensing and GIS for Biosphere reserve Management to Adapt Climate Change' has been successfully finished. There were totally 17 participants from 6 countries including China, Republic of Korea, DPRK, Mongolia, Russia, and Kirghizstan participated in this workshop.
This workshop was organized by UNESCO Office Beijing and China MAB Committee, while implemented by the Center for Earth Observation and Digital Earth, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CEODE). SuperMap Software Co., Ltd. (SuperMap) was responsible for the training courses of GIS and its application in biosphere reserve.
During the training courses on GIS technology and application, SuperMap GIS software was used through this program. By the professional guidance of SuperMap International Training Engineer, the participants learned how to collect, manage, analyze and publish their data by themselves through practice with SuperMap GIS software, as well as learned lots of applications of SuperMap in Biosphere Reserve. All the participants were impressed by the SuperMap GIS software’s characteristics of advanced technical structure, high performance and easy-to-use. According to the class investigation afterwards, the program received good comments from all the participants.
