The Minister of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba, Fernando González, along with the science and technology delegation visited SuperMap Software Co., Ltd. on May 23rd accompanied by Cao Jinghua, the deputy director of Bureau of International Co-operation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The board chairman of SuperMap Software Co., Ltd., Dr. Zhong Ershun welcomed and met the guests at the company headquarters.
Dr. Zhong first introduced the GIS technologies innovation of SuperMap and showcased some excellent applications examples developed based on SuperMap products in different fields for Mr. Fernando González and the delegation, then showed Mr. Fernando González and the delegation around the company. The minister and Cuba delegation also had a look at the demonstration systems developed by SuperMap. The minister showed great interest in SuperMap, gave high praise for the development in GIS technologies of SuperMap. He told his accompay colleagues to start to apply SuperMap afterwards.
The two parties also discussed the cooperation on GIS technologies.
Cao Jinghua, the deputy director of Bureau of International Co-operation, Chinese Academy of Sciences attended the discussion and said that the Bureau of International Co-operation, CAS would give support to the technical cooperation between SuperMap and related organizations of Cuba.
