SuperMap GIS Technologies, Inc. a leading GIS company in China announced today it had formed a new division in charge of its international business. The company also announced the appointment of Mr. B. J. Mak as the CEO of the new Division and SuperMap International Limited in Hong Kong. And, Dr. Frank Yang as the Business Development Director for Europe and Africa of International Business Division.
In order to promote its international business, the Beijing based GIS company had set up sub-company in Hong Kong in June, 2006,. While since the forming of the International Business Division directly under the Office of Company’s CEO, the Hong Kong sub-company’s operation will be merged into the new Division. The company said it could streamline and increase the resources on certain functions on two offices both in Beijing and in Hong Kong, such as the human resources, marketing, and technological services and supporting.
"Streamlining our international operation with the resources from Hong Kong and Beijing is part of our global expanding plan. The resources can be mutually supported and leverage more effectively from our technology and capitalize on the cross-regional opportunities."
