Comprehensive Spatial Analysis Functions

  ◆ 3D modeling and analysis

SuperMap GIS has 3D visualization engine which allows multiple 3D maps to be overlaid with each other and each map layer can be controlled just as the 2D maps.

  ◆ Network analysis

Network analysis is widely used in public transportation, electronic power, pipeline management etc. SuperMap GIS has lots of utility network analysis functions:

◆ Shortest and optimal route analysis

      ○  Critical node and critical edge analysis
        Closest facilities search
         Service area analysis
         Resource allocation
         Suitable location analysis

  ◆ Buffer analysis

SuperMap GIS has perfect buffer analysis functions to create common buffer zone for point, line, region and also complex buffer such as ring buffer, multilevel buffer, multi-object buffer, asymmetry buffer, etc. are provided.

  ◆ Overlay analysis

The overlay analysis in SuperMap GIS can be performed between geometric object and vector dataset or among vector datasets. Various overlay analysis methods such as Intersect, identity, union, clip, erase etc. are all available.

  ◆ Grid analysis

The grid calculator in grid analysis of SuperMap GIS 2008 not only has arithmetic operations among raster data such as plus, minus, multiply and divide, but also has complex operations such as power, square, logarithm, and trigonometric functions. The grid analysis model in SuperMap GIS can freely be extended according to the needs of complex analysis.

  ◆ Hydrology analysis

The hydrology analysis in SuperMap GIS includes sink filling, flow direction creation, watershed delineation, stream shape extraction, flow accumulation, etc.
